How  We Got Started…

Eight years ago while working as a youth pastor in Billings, Montana, Brian Carpenter, had a vision for a place in his community where people could be together and share life around great coffee. There were lots of “coffee shops”, but none of them seemed to facilitate adding value to the lives of their clientele. None of them used creativity, music, the arts, or relationships to serve their customers. To him most of the coffee shops were “fast food coffee shops”, with drive thru’s and a “get em’ in, get em’ out” service mentality. He dreamed of a place that was more like a bar where people could come in and relax, enjoy the freshest and best products, and talk about life, laugh, read, study, or listen to live music with friends. Like the television show Cheers, it would be a place where “everyone knows your name”. In 2008 Brian and his wife DeAnn with several investors started building the place Brian envisioned years ago; a gorgeous, contemporary, and vibrant space where people will gather and do life together. With the coffee bar encompassing meeting rooms, a gourmet coffee menu, the best espresso and coffee beans, flat screen televisions, beautiful furniture and tables, a piano bar, live music, a patio with fire pit and much more, Carpenter is confident this will be the coffee bar in Billings where people want to be! When people come to their place, the Carpenters’ hope they will have a coffee experience like they’ve never imagined.
